Fitted Kitchens are ten to the penny at the present and discovering the best product for you can frequently be a very difficult task particularly if you are searching for the first time. There are so many variables that can effect the end finish of a fitted kitchen and happens you often have to be an expert in the field in a time frame when you have more than enough to do, especially as in my situation if you are trying to sell your house!.

The main things to look out for is

• The carcasses on the fitted kitchen you are viewing are good ones, this means made out of quite a tight grained MDF which is the norm or for luxury, solid wood (though this is unusual and often only on hand made fitted kitchens) carcasses.
• The next thing you need to look at are whether the fitted kitchen units will look right in the area that you are alloting to them. If you purchase a fitted kitchen that is a very dark wood in a small space it will feel like a dingey hole, which is fine if you are a goth, but otherwise go light.
• Check the handle’s and hinge’s on the door frames, if they are a good standard they will look slightly heavier than a poorer standard fitted kitchen and will open and close fluidly. Check to see that the handles are attached firmly, other than a few of the ones you can get that are only attached by a simple screw in the centre, if they havent been stuck correctly will at some point just undo from the unit.
• Make sure there are no spaces between sections of the unit such as cookers or sinks as the build up of dirt on not quite so fitted kitchens can be horrible in the long run.
• Ensure any fitted products you get are enough for your home, look at the space you use at present with your fridges, washing machines and dish washers and think whether you are happy with that area or if you require more or less.
• Think about plates, pans, glasses and cups and whether you need more space, and what workspace you require. If you have costly none stick pans keep them separate from other pans so that the non stick surface doesn’t get scratched. So think about hanging the pans on hooks or making sure you have adequate space to store the pans separately.

The other thing to think about is that you pay for what you get! So make sure the people you buy from have a Excellent reputation and can help you out with all of the services you will potentially use including plumber’s, electrician’s and fitter’s. Purchasing from a large wholesaler is not the best option, as you are paying for services that are about, through put for profit, not individual service, with back up if you have any issues and if you are finishing a house off, because you are attempting to sell your house you don’t need extra hassle’s, believe me! Other areas you can look at are fitting a wooden staircase or new internal lighting but these are all things for another article
